After a stint of polkadots, I'm now back to a steady diet of peter pan collars, hearts tights and loafer pumps. I didn't realize though that I was in all shades of brown this particular day. It's a color I rarely wear but somehow I think it looks really pretty in this outfit. So here's to adding more brown-ies in the closet ♥

I've been listening to two new favourite songs on repeat lately, this cover of Safe and sound by Taylor Swift and I won't give up by Jason Mraz. So good!

Hi lovelies! Chinese new year celebrations coupled with some quality time with the husband has kept me from checking in here this past week. It's been quite awhile since husband has had a long (and by long, I mean 5 full days!!) break from the hospital so I try to spend as much time with him as I possibly can. It's also been some time since I've worn my striped tutu skirt here, so this is me in a gothic-ish ballerina outfit. But I can't stand being in all black and white so that's how the red heels came into the picture ♥

Honestly, I did not plan on having three consecutive polkadotted outfits in a row but as fate would have it, here I am in the third one! Hope you're not too bored of dots yet! Happy new year, lovelies! Hope you had the best of time ushering in 2012 with your loved ones. After a delicious japanese meal, husband and I decided to head home and countdown with some apple juice in champagne glasses. Couldn't think of a better way to spend my last hour of 2011 ♥

2011 has been a really wonderful year for me, God has blessed me with a beautiful wedding, a great husband and a lovely new home and I really couldn't ask for more. Am truly grateful for everything that I have and looking forward to see what 2012 has in store. Hopefully it will bring greater and better things for all of us!

My new year's outfit is this simple polkadotted dress with scalloped edges, which had me at hello. And the adorable bee ring is a gift from husband when we went out shopping yesterday, love the little guy:)

Hope you guys had a really wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. I spent a perfect day, first in church in the morning and then dinner with husband at tony romas for some good old ribs, they were so yummy. I couldn't have asked for a better Christmas. I still can't believe how fast this year has passed by, it's insane!

So this was my Christmas outfit, a little predictable but it's Christmas so I don't care! Well, have fun feasting all the way till the new year arrives ♥

This was actually what I wore on boxing day, but better late than never right? It was a really comfy outfit so I added the chunky necklace husband gave me for christmas to add some glitz to it. I can easily envision this necklace in so many other combinations, so I'm really glad husband got me something I love!

Now that the celebrations and festivities has come to an end, how does everyone feel? I'm quite sad and bummed about it so I think I may just have to keep my Christmas tree and lights on for a little bit longer ♥

Decided to wear this forgotten dress with sort of Christmassy colors last weekend. The thing I love most about it is the velvet trimmings on the dress, it's so pretty! And of course, I had to pair it with my lovely bright red platforms ♥

It was such a surprise to see this dahlia dress making an appearance on glee courtesy of rachel berry few weeks back. Well, it only added one reason for me to love it even more. And I still can't get enough of this satchel purse.

Over the weekend, we stuffed ourselves full with various Christmas parties and I think it may well continue over the next few weeks. Getting so excited over the thought of spending Christmas with my loved ones. I'm sure everyone is feeling the same way. Truly can't wait!

♥ Gotta love the bunnies on my peter pan collared top and grey pleats. Just something simple for a Saturday afternoon. Husband was sick and couldn't make it to work, therefore he stayed home and spent the whole day with me. I'm not happy that he's unwell but any time we have to spend together is much cherished. Strange, even though we are not a million miles apart anymore, we still yearn very much to be in each other's company. Guess being in a prior long distance relationship will do that to you.

Can't believe how quickly my favourite month, November has whizzed by! Well, on to my next favourite month, of course with Christmas around the corner, everyone else should be really excited right?

It's my birthday tomorrow and the pearl beaded pink shoes are an early birthday gift from my sis. Aren't they the cutest thing ever? You wouldn't believe that I got my lace dress for only $15 at the bargain rack. Goes to show you never know what you can find in the sales.

I wonder if it's too early to put up the Christmas tree but the boy and I are just so excited we got it all done last night! Well, it is our first time decorating the tree together. Can't wait for the festivities to begin!!

I love how each of the buildings has a flavor and character that is special in their very own way. A very casual outfit for an afternoon spent gallivanting with husband from last Saturday. It was pretty chilly so I put on my long grey cardi which has proven to be really versatile since I purchased it ♥

I adore my little asos bag but I hardly use it because I just can't fit my fat purse in it. It's quite frustrating having to take out all the essentials from one's purse and stuff it into a lil bag. A shame really, because the bag is quite adorable!

The sun came out to play yesterday, hence these really bright shots. I tried pairing all sorts of jackets and cardigans with my pleated pink dress, but at the end the leather jacket still emerged as the winner! I really like balancing out sweet and girlie by adding the jacket and studded clutch. And it's so hard trying not to wear these platforms with every outfit I'm in, they seem to go with just about anything. Got to start giving my other shoes a chance to be paraded too ♥

Received our wedding pictures today and just by looking at them, I've been transported back to our very special day nearly two months ago. And I can't help feeling like the happiest girl in the world ♥

It's been awhile since I tried to blind everyone in sight with my pink jeans! Always fun to to annoy the people around you with bright clothes such as this, I must admit.

And those sandals are a pain to put on and to take off, but looking at them now, they're actually kinda worth it. For the second half of our honeymoon in Bali, we stayed in Blue Point Bay, a villa which seemed to be in the middle of nowhere but hides the most beautiful view of the ocean I've seen in my entire life. Needless to say we spent our 2 days there mostly lounging in the infinity pool area; occasionally taking a dip and watching countless of weddings that took place in the little glass chapel located just beside the pool. Oh, what I would give to be back in that gorgeous pool again!

Adore may be a word that is truly not strong enough to describe my feelings for this dahlia dress. I've admired the peter pan collars, ribbon and capped sleeves for so long that I just had to to make this very necessary purchase (on a discounted price on asos, which made the decision by far much easier) ♥

Yesterday I curled my hair for a wedding I attended and these are the messy remnants from that effort. I may wear it like this more often in the future because I quite like the results.

On another note, why oh why can't the weekend stay for just a lil bit longer?

Bruges

We passed by the little delightful town of Bruges, Belgium on our way to Amsterdam. A quick stop to have the most delicious mussels for lunch. I was immediately charmed by the old city vibes and architecture around the market square. Their buildings are truly the sweetest! It's too bad I didn't have much time to explore their beauty, well this would mean another trip back here in the future I hope. I want to see the rest of Belgium! Outfitwise, it can't go any simpler than a striped top and leather jacket but at least it kept me nice and comfy ♥

It was a dream come true when I visited beautiful Paris with the boy nearly two years ago. So imagine my delight when I learned that I was nominated for a company trip to Paris/Amsterdam in September. The only downside is I will have to board the plane to Paris almost immediately after coming home from my honeymoon in Bali. Poor boy will have to be without me for about a week!

Wow, it's kinda hard to juggle between work, planning a wedding, having a blog and a fiancee whose now back with me on top of everything else. How do you guys do it? Anyway, I'm happy to report that it's been a blissful 3 days, spent mostly falling in love with the boy again. It's quite a wonderful feeling to be able to fall in love with the person you love again. I think those of you who are in long distance relationships would be able to attest to that.

The red Zara dress I'm wearing here is actually one that I have been having a crush on since last year. Finally succumbed to purchasing it thanks to the sales that is going on at the moment. And the white Longchamp bag is a gift from my sweetie that he bought for me during a stopover in London. It's so pretty but it's white! I feel like I have to be super duper extra careful whenever I carry it around ♥

Well, last night was spent watching the last Harry Potter movie. I must admit although I've missed out on a couple of the Harry Potter movies here and there, it still feels bittersweet to know that we have reached the end of the series, the end of an era! I remembered watching the first movie almost 10 years ago when I was still studying in uni!

Now I'm toying with the idea of having a Harry Potter movie marathon, which is not necessarily a great idea when one is supposed to be knee deep in wedding preparations ♥

Hi lovelies, it's been awhile! My weekend flew by in a breeze, I had the most wonderful time with my dear girls who decided to throw me a bachelorette party up in the highlands. Imagine the mayhem and noise from having ten girls in a room! We had the best fun talking about girlie stuff and they even made me walk around with a makeshift veil made from tissue paper.

Anyways, today's outfit was kept simple as I was too tired to even think about dressing up. This doll-like chiffon dress was an easy pick. A Majorlica Majorca mascara, a Canmake creamy eyeliner (this is so good, I can't recommend it enough, I may have to go back and get more), some hair products and a pretty blusher brush. I also got myself this strawberry flavored lip balm from Body shop, the smell is positively heavenly! Looking at them makes me so happy.

Happy Sunday lovelies!

I'm back with a few shades of blue in today's outfit, I only noticed just now that my nail colour actually matched what I wore. A happy accident! I've been longing for a midi pleated skirt for awhile now and finally decided to procure this gorgeous one from Asos. It's so pretty and twirly that I have no complaints but one, it is quite sheer! Still, I imagine I'm going to have a wonderful time wearing this skirt in other outfits which I've already dreamt up. Also loving the platform heels I received in the mail the other day, they're surprisingly quite comfy too.

My posts been a little sparse lately because I've been spending all my free time watching the cutest korean drama, Secret Garden. I was so addicted to it that I had to finish watching it all in 3 days, yes it's that good! There are loads of adorable love scenes in the show that really makes me miss him more. Oh well, there is only 1 more month to go before the boy returns. Though time seems to move even more slowly than before ♥

Just a simple black and white outfit for today. Though it wasn't that boring when I added my heart printed cardi from Forever 21 and some pops of colors here and there with the yellow clutch, red belt, blue pumps and last but not least, bright pink lips! I love my revlon pink lipstick, am thinking of maybe getting another bright pink one from mac too ♥

So what are you guys up to today? After coming back from church, I've been relaxing at home, mostly watching macbarbie07's videos on youtube. She's just so pretty and adorable, I'm sure you will fall in love with her videos too. I still can't believe that she's only 15!

Okay gotta run, gonna spend the rest of the evening taking our dad out for a father's day dinner!

O Lingerie!

To be perfectly honest, I've never given much thought to lingerie at all before this! Sure, I would oohed and ahhed at those floaty and flirty items on display at the stores but more often than not, I placed more importance on how I look on the outside. Lately though, I've been slowly amassing a collection of silky, pretty underthings (most likely the anticipation of my upcoming honeymoon in Bali has sparked the interest). So, I was over the moon when Lingerie Please asked me to choose one of their lovely sets for a blog review.

When I got to the site, I discovered that I was spoilt for choice! In fact, I spent quite some time there before my eyes landed on this line called O Lingerie. Finally, I chose the O Lingerie Myrtle camisole and french knickers set and within a day or two, they arrived safely at my doorstep ♥

It's seriously such a sweet and delicate set! My heart fluttered when I saw the little embroidery details and velvet trimmings on the sheer material. I was definitely more than happy with my choice!

Looking through beautiful interior pics such as these makes me so impatient to start decorating my own home! Seriously, the way and amount of time I've spent poring over interior sites is making me feel a lil crazy but excited nonetheless. In about two months time, the boy and I will finally get the keys to our house and we are both beside ourselves with the thought of building our happy little nest.

Lately, I've been feasting my eyes on the gorgeous, extensive range of home and lifestyle items at Kaleidescope. I think any of these bedding and curtains would fit right in our new home! Most of all though, I'm dreaming of some crisp, clean Victorian white sheets for our bedroom, which hopefully I'll get the boy to agree to. Because an all white bedroom is what I have in my mind and my heart at the moment ♥

Hello lovelies!

I'm quite smitten with this lil capelet top of mine, isn't it quite sweet? So much so that I decided to take some pics of me wearing the top both indoors and also out and about.

How did you guys spend your Sunday? I went to the movies, where we watched Super 8. It was surprisingly quite enjoyable and heart rending. Elle Fanning might just be my latest girl crush too, she's so pretty! After the movies, I caved in to temptation and snagged the sweetest cherry printed babydoll from La Senza, one which I've been eyeing on for some time now. Will have to show you all how it looks like in the next post ♥

I was pleasantly surprised that they carry a number of brands from Pepe Jeans to Miss Sixty and Vero Moda to Motel. Here, I share with you some of my picks for the summer. An assortment of maxi and floral dresses, pussy bow blouses, polka dotted and striped wedges, sparkly platforms, a yellow shopping bag, the cutest straw purse and a pair of bow shorts which is my favourite among them all!

Hello. It's been awhile! I've quite a number of backlogged pics just waiting to be posted up, which I haven't really had the time to do due to my current busy schedule (with wedding preparations added with a tinge of laziness). Anyway, this was last Sunday's outfit. I just love how my new bow shoes matches my chanel-esque jacket. And I guess I'm really into cropped tops at the moment because I scored this lacy one last week!

I honestly can't believe we're entering the 2nd week of June already. Not that I complaining, I'm more than happy because that means my boy will be coming home next month! Yes, only another 40 days or so before he comes home to me, never to part again. My heart is overjoyed with that very thought ♥

I love my life, my job, my family and my darling fiancee.

I feel like I'm in such a great place in my life right now, which is strange because it's something that I honestly couldn't say before. I really wouldn't mind staying here just a lil bit longer. I've so much to thank God for and it's really wonderful to be able to remind myself of them each and every day ♥

Oh, and how do you like my lace top with the scalloped shorts? I've thought of so many other ways to wear the lace top that I'm sure it's gonna take ages to run through the list!

I was debating about whether to get this Asos dress in pink or to get the safer option, which is grey. In the end, I opted for the pink because I thought it's just the color boost I needed for my wardrobe. Obviously as a self professed pink lover, I need to have at least one hot pink dress in my collection!

And I went on a shopping spree yesterday and one of the result from the trip was this rose necklace. It had a matching ring too, which is the sweetest thing ever, I'll have to show it to you guys soon.

Those chocolate candies were a gift which seemed almost too pretty to eat. Almost!

Of all the romantic and flowy silhouetted dresses that I have, I must say this one holds a very special place in my heart. If there was a dress that I could marry, it'll probably be this one. Of course, it also helps that I get tons of compliments (okay, maybe one or two) whenever I wear it out. And I love how my leather jacket goes so well with just about anything I put on.

I must admit that it's so much easier to get dressed when I have dresses with pretty prints like this one in the closet. It was a lucky day when I found one with my favourite motif, bows!

Today, I went on a shopping trip, buying more wedding stuff and home decor items for our new house (which we haven't even got the keys to yet!). I feel a lil guilty watching how my pile of "things for the new house" is slowly accumulating. But each time I go out to shop, I inadvertently bring back more items to add to my growing pile. It's honestly so fun and satisfying buying items which I imagine will look great in our future home ♥

So I walked into Zara the other day and found the pink jeans of my dreams! I've seen it on a couple of blogs the last couple of weeks and have been secretly yearning for one. It's just the perfect pop of pink, don't you agree?

And last weekend, I decided to paint my nails in candy colours just for fun. They're missing pastel blue and yellow, but they still turned out pretty all right, I think. I thought I'll take them off before Monday but the candy colours are just so pretty that I decided to keep them on for just a lil bit longer ♥

Hello, I have a new favourite skirt! I love the fact that it has pockets, one of the details I absolutely love in a skirt. And I can't believe that I'm actually wearing a crop top but here I am. I got one in white too while I was at it. Of course I've already shown you the horse belt in my previous post, which looks great with just about anything and everything ♥

Lately, my mind has just been wrapped up in all things wedding and all the preparations leading up to it. Can't believe it's just a mere 113 days to my big day! It sounds like a long time but when I think of all the things to do, I kind of get a panic attack. Must. learn. to. breathe!

Long weekends are the best, so glad to be at home for a change on a Monday! How did you guys spent your weekend? On Friday, I was of course glued to the tv watching the Royal Wedding. Kate was absolutely radiant her elegant white gown and the kiss on the balcony was just perfect, really ♥

The rest of my weekend was spent catching up with an old friend and during our outing, I managed to get my hands on the necklace I'm wearing here. I've been looking everywhere for a good chunky necklace and was so excited when I found this in Forever 21 that I just had to get it right away!

As I wanted the necklace to be the focal point of my outfit, I decided to keep it really simple with just an oversized sheer top and my go to scalloped pants. But of course, I couldn't resist adding the horse belt that is also a recent addition to my wardrobe. I've been wearing it with everything lately. Isn't it a beauty though?

For Easter, I was clad in an all black outfit, which is kind of weird because I'm usually not a big fan of an all black look. But when spiced up with some red and yellow accents, somehow that made it more palatable for me. And I love this new black lace top I had on, I was so tempted to get it in cream too. Maybe I should go back and get it! Ah, decisions, decisions, decisions!

We had a great Easter service where my sister and I performed this song. I get teary eyed every time I listen to it, such a beautiful reminder of how much He loves us.

I'm in love love love with this Asos yellow clutch which arrived at my home last week! Just the pop of color I needed for last Sunday's outfit. It's been a long while since I last worn my navy "sailor" cardi, which is a shame because it really is pretty with its gold trimmings and buttons. And how could I resist the bow pearly necklace? I know there's a lot going on with this outfit but I hope everything worked well together in the end.

I had such a lovely Sunday, browsing through Ikea where I bought the loveliest perfume bottle set (not sure what I will do with them yet but they were too pretty to be left behind), daydreaming of ways to furnish my new home with the boy and feasting on the yummiest red velvet cake ♥

Plaid and paris

So, I've been going on and on about this absolutely amazing show, My So-Called Life for weeks now. And I guess seeing the entire 90s cast clad in plaid has renewed my love for it again. So, last Saturday I dug out an old plaid skirt and paired it with a simple paris tee as a small homage to the 90s show. It felt like a flashback to the 90s again!

And I also wanted to show you these adorable horse earrings and rose lipgloss which I bought from H&M during my recent trip to Milan. They're sort of my favourite items of the moment ♥

The first cherry blossoms

I miss the cherry blossoms that were in full bloom when we stumbled onto the loveliest park in Milan by accident. Believe it or not, this was my first time seeing them up close so I couldn't resist taking a million pics with them in the background. I had my new Dahlia dress on and I'll have to wear it again soon to show you guys how pretty it is.

I was blown away when we first arrived at the famous Duomo. It's probably one of the most beautiful work of art I've seen ever. I miss it so. I miss having gelato at the side of the street. I miss walking amidst the cherry blossoms. I miss discovering the shopping streets. Most of all, I miss him. I miss having him by my side. I miss laughing with him. I miss him holding my hand ♥

It's been a long time since I last wore pants on the blog, so what's better than this adorable bow scalloped pants, right? I kept it simple with a ruffled striped top, a floral necklace and matte red lips ♥

The past few days has been quite exhausting as I tried to finish the "My So-Called Life" marathon. My mind's still tingling from the unexpected awesomeness wrapped up in all 19 episodes of the show. And it also had one of the most perfect kiss of all time. I can't believe I'm having such a big crush on a tv show! I really feel a little heartbroken that there are no more new episodes for me to discover. Do you guys remember being so passionate about any tv show?
