Paris will always be in my ♥

My first day in Paris
We arrived late in the evening after a long train ride
from the Charles de Gaulle airport,
so we only had time to wander around Montmartre
where we were staying.
It was raining and the weather was slightly chilly
as we slowly made our way up the Sacre Coeur.

We climbed the gazillion steps right up to the top as we battled the cold wind!
And we had our very first tiny glimpse of the Tour Eiffel
on top of the hill, it was a surreal moment right there:)
Oh, and my dears, that's the best cheese sausage baguette
(I'm sorry, I can't remember what it's called in French)
in the world I'm holding
, seriously!

After climbing down the hill, we then fulfilled another dream of mine
when we found the little cafe from the movie Amelie
,
which I loved to bits

We had hot chocolate and a latte
as we enjoyed spotting the Amelie memorabilia in the cafe
and that was the end of our day one.

Our day two started off with a visit
to the Musee D'Orsay

The famous clock in the Musee, isn't it just beautiful?

The lovely painting of Renoir,
I'm so glad I got to see it with my own eyes!

After the Musee, we then went looking for Pierre Herme for some macaroons
at the suggestion of a Parisian who preferred it to Laduree.
(I actually wished to go to Laduree as well,
but he insisted Pierre Herme macaroons tasted better)
We walked and we walked to no avail
and when we had almost given up,
out pops Laduree pops from out of nowhere!
Talk about my good fortune!!

We then continued our adventures
as we crossed the Seine River to the Right Bank.
It was the most wonderful feeling standing at the bridge
with this amazing view behind me
.
It's definitely another perfect moment in my life

From there we walked to Jardin des Tuileries
which is a truly wonderful sight

I think Paris has the most beautiful parks in the world
and the Parisians sure do love going to their parks.

From there we went to the Louvre to snap some pictures.
We did some crazy jumping shots here that
I'm too embarrassed to show you

We walked a long long way across the Avenue Champs Elysees
to reach Place de la Concorde and Arc de Triumph.

The famous fountain at Place de la Concorde,
where some famous movie scenes have been shot, I believe
.

The Arc de Triumph
After that, it was another long, arduous walk to
our last stop for the day, the Tour Eiffel.

The Tour Eiffel, getting bigger and bigger
as we got nearer.

We spent the rest of the evening there, having our packed dinner
while watching the larger than life Tour Eiffel,
as night slowly creeps up on us

We sat until around 10 in the night
when the whole tower lighted up with tiny stars
and twinkled against the skies for a brief moment.

A wondrous sight to end a wondrous day
