Flowers from the same garden

How very prim and proper I felt in this somewhat victorian inspired outfit. If there was an era which I would have to choose as my favourite, I would definitely pick victorian. Sometimes I do feel like I've been born in the wrong place and wrong time. So I'm glad I found a way to wear my old cameo pin, to add a dash of victorian in this simple outfit.

Do you have a period in time which you wish you were living in?

Of two sisters, one is always the watcher and one the dancer ~Louise Glück

My sister decided to join me for some fun in this little photoshoot and we ended up doing silly sisterly poses like these. If the quote was true then my little sister would be the dancer and I would be the watcher because she has been lighting up my life with laughter and happiness ever since the day she was born. I cannot imagine living without her, we've been sharing the same room since we were kids up till now. We could very well be twins, if it were not for the 3 years age gap! She's my best friend, my best listener, my best shopping partner, and I know that no matter what life decides to throw at me, everything will be much easier to bear with her sunshiny smile and crazy jokes in my life. And of course, I must not forget my patient brother who puts up with our silly antics most of the time and willingly took these lovely pictures of us.
So here's to sibling love ♥

Here's to sibling love, definitely. I have two older sisters and I wouldn't be anywhere in life without them. ♥

Your victorian-inspired outfit looks lovely; somehow old-fashioned and modern at the same time. It's always a pleasure to see those pretty heart tights.

Oh I love my sister as well! All my siblings, actually. I always find myself wishing I lived in the 1800's or something. Whenever I read books from a historical time I get so into it and want to live in that time :)

Lovely handbag and cameo!
Your relationship with your sister is so adorable.
I love the prim/demure fashion of the Victorian era but my heart wishes it were around in the French rococo period <3

Love that sisters quote.

Very cute!

I think I should have been born in the thirties, I think the same of my guy too, I can just imagine us meeting in a smokey, dusty old jazz club and going on dates to see Gone with the Wind and Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers films. We'd of been in our prime!

I have a younger brother, and though it took us some time (I had to learn to forgive him for the hell he put me through as a biting, kicking and screaming child), we've ended up being very close, so yay for sibling love indeed.

I scored you at Hypeed! I wouldn't want to live in any other era, but I'd probably choose Rococo as well, if I had too ;)

You should go to Hawaii!!

And don't worry, I've lived in Hawaii all my life so I know how it's like to not have four seasons. It's pretty boring but now I'm really tired of the cold here in Tokyo. :<

And gosh yes, I am feeling in the same way: wrong place wrong time :D But I think in my chase this must have been the 60's and 70's! :D

The Victorian is so dainty and elegant - like your outfit excactly brings out. You are a victorian girl in this beautiful post! LOVE LOVE LOVE EVERYTHING in this outfit, Sher!!!

REally cute! And I kid you not, I wore a skirt almost exactly like that about 3 days ago. Loved it. I like the Victorian touch too... I don't know what time I would want to live in, maybe the 60s or the 20s. I also loved your quote about sisters and your explanation with your sister. Having a Sister and a Brother, I feel you on everything you said.

Darling you look so lovely; I adore your camea pin!! I've got a camea necklace and it always gives such a cute victorian touch to your outfit. If I'd be able to pick a time to live in; it'd be the victorian time or the 20's...

The brooch and the purse are great!

If I would pick an era it would be the one between the World Wars, the 20, 30, I love the decadence of that era...Jazz, booze, great fashion...Or at least this is how I'm picturing it :P
