Of picnics, scones and afternoon tea ♥

On my last day in Edinburgh, bf (I'm still not used to calling him my fiancee) and I headed to the meadows with some bread and the chicken curry we cooked the day before. I know it looked sunny and all, but oh boy were we deceived. We only lasted there for about half an hour with our lunch before the cold wind got the better of us
We then rested at home for quite a bit and watched one of the World Cup matches together before bringing ourselves to Anteaques. It's a quaint little tea shop selling scones (I can never ever get tired of them, I'm pretty sure one half of me is english!), cakes, eclairs and other lovely mouthwatering stuff. Ahh, just my cup of tea! If only I have a time machine to go back and spend one more heavenly day like this

So so glad tomorrow is Friday and the weekend is upon us. Then, I can do all the silly things I love to do and daydream as much as I like! Bliss:)

Oh this is such a terrific post - love it!!

Tea is just the best and you're so lucky to have visited a wonderful little tea shop like that. yay!!

ps-I noticed you are a fan of Anne of Green Gables and that whole series. Me too!! I'm from Canada and just adore Anne. I read all of those books in 4th or 5th grade and still have them today! Have you seen the DVDs? They're SO GOOD!

Have a great day!

Aaaah, the wind is so sneaky! We often get that in the North of England - glorious sunshine with a wind that keeps you in hats and gloves! :) x

Searching for cute tea places is one of my lifelong dreams haha seriously, though. I looooooooove spending time drinking tea and talking. I'm such an old lady.

October is still a ways away. Even just a month away from your LDR bf is tough >< I'm suffering from major withdrawals ahhh. How do you two communicate?

I was going to get him a wallet too! But the thing is, he really needs one. I decided to get him this nice necklace instead hehe :D Your boyfriend seems like he would like clothes. Or many something hand made?

Hi Sher, I cant wait until the day I can call my bf my fiancee :)
The little tea shop looks so lovely, I just adore places like that. Photos of boys with pretty dainty teacups make me smile. When I had a high tea, he had to have a teacup, so I gave him my least flowery, manly teacup, he still looked funny :)
I adore your dress, it reminds me of one ive seen in Target which i should probably buy.
Im feeling a bit like scones now!

I saw a few posts ago that you got engaged, congratulations!!! I hope you two have a lifetime of happiness, I think it's really sweet.

Your Eurotrip posts show you obviously had a great time, do your shopping at H&M? :P

You've inspired me to have a picnic although chicken curry is a little adventurous for my cooking skills.

Picnics are one of my favorite things to do. I really want to have one of those giant elegant picnic baskets. Too bad about the weather, but the place you both ended up for tea is adorable.
