Waiting on you

There are some items in my wardrobe that I love so much and yet never seem to take them out from the closet, this red tartan skirt is the perfect example of that. Well, I probably don't wear it out so often because it just screams festive to me. So I tried to dress it down a little today by pairing it with black & brownish tones and a khaki jacket.

So how did you guys spend this special day of 10.10.10?
Mine involved having some delicious steamboat dinner, buying some picture frames, tasting soy ice cream for the first time and catching up on the latest episodes of Glee and How I met your mother. I can't believe it's less than 3 weeks till my boy comes home, I seriously can't wait for the days to come. We have a million and one things on our to do list to strike off once he returns, it will be interesting to see how we can fit them all in within the two months he'll be around

It's getting late now so I guess I will have to catch up with all you lovelies tomorrow, hope you're having a most wonderful Sunday!

I love that skirt! You should take it out more. I have a plaid red skirt similar to that, but it has some stars on it making it even more festive. I love it, but haven't quite figured out how I want to wear it! I should. I am excited for you to see your boy! x

omg i didnt even realize it was 10.10.10 yesterday! i seem to be living in my little world and have kinda lost track of the dates! i had a horrid day yesterday... bad migraine and that was becuz of this really scary nitemare i had during my aftn nap... woke up with an extremely heavy head and it lasted till bedtime >.< but im feeling well and energized this morning! thank goodness :)

3 weeks will zoom by in a flash! really excited for u, i know that feeling of counting down the days... feels u with anxiety doesnt it? so when's the wedding going to be? have u fixed the date yet?

i dont think i have anything red in my closet except for a singlet top which is bedtime wear... it's just so eye-catching to be wearing sumthing red! its great that u managed successfully to play down the redness cuz that skirt's lovely; it shouldnt be sitting in the closet! ;D

I have the same dilemma, Sher. I have pieces that I love, yet they hardly come out of the closet. I think you did a good job with the styling:) It doesn't scream festive at all. Hope ure enjoying the weekend!

not that you need a red skirt to stand out but it certainly helps, you look beautiful as ever! I'm glad you had a delightful 10.10.10. Mine was full of errands, gym and a baby shower- I adored it.

I have similar items in my closet - I love them but find them hard to wear because they are too dressy or I can't find an occasion! But I'm glad you wore this skirt, it's so pretty :)

Wow I love your skirt. Its so adorable and I wish I had a skirt like that. I have been searching for a red skirt for at least three years now and I have been unsuccessful in finding one. It sounds like you had a lovely 10.10.10. I only realised that significance of the day when I saw it on the news as the day that had a record number of weddings.

I like how you paired that pretty skirt with brown sub tones. Very clever way of toning down!
