My Cup of Tea ♥

"Take some more tea," the March Hare said to Alice very earnestly.
"I've had nothing yet," Alice replied in an offended tone, "so I can't take more - Alice in Wonderland

A Proper Tea is much nicer than a Very Nearly Tea,
which is one you forget about afterwards. - A.A. Milne

You can never get a cup of tea large enough
or a book long enough to suit me. - C.S. Lewis

I've always been one who preferred tea to coffee,
since I was young.
And I've always loved the idea of an english afternoon tea
and scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream.
I was so disappointed that I couldn't find anywhere to have afternoon tea
in London during my trip last July.
I guess we didn't know where to look,
so I didn't even get to try some authentic English scones!
Hopefully, if I were to visit again, I'll be able to fulfil this little dream of mine

What about you, dear readers? Do you share my sentiments towards tea?

I have always preferred tea to coffee too. I like mine with milk and honey!

I'm not a fan of coffee, either.
I find myself only drinking tea in the cold months. It is soothing and warming and I should start drinking it weekly, at least.

What beautiful images on your blog - simply lovely! I too share your tea adoration. Infact I am a chain-tea-drinker, never more delighted with my earl grey than when it is drunk from delicate china for the whole experience. Ahhh bliss ! Thankyou for your most romantic and dreamy of blogsites !

Very cute post! I love the processing in the first couple of pics. I love tea. I drink coffee more often so having tea is a very special occasion.

Thank you for your nice compliment about the photos. The photos are mostly taken by my boyfriend but some of them are mine too. Processing is a combination of Picasa and Adobe Lightroom

I really love love the effects on those photos and the extract from Alice In Wonderland :))

I'm surely more of a tea person and my favorite is earl gray ! With just sugar. Sometimes I wished i really had time for afternoon tea everyday to just sit down with tea and scones to just enjoy the weather.

hahaha but I guess not.

Beautiful pink cardigan with your dotted top <3 <3

you will be hard pressed to find an authentic tea house in London! they are there but yes very hard to find. if you go out into the countryside (especially Devon) you can get the proper english cream tea with scones and a lovely cuppa but in London theres nothing quaint and pretty ilke that...unless you know where to look!

LookingGlassGirl said...

I wish I liked tea, but I'm more of a coffee girl. However, I do drink my coffee out of pretty teacups. By the way, I've tagged you.

I'm a huge coffee drinker... but I love tea too. Nothing beats sitting down on a cold afternoon sipping tea from a gorgeous tea cup and eating delicious scones and cakes... Lets have a tea party shall we?

Hi Sher. To answer your question, I'm originally from Canada. I've been in Australia since September and I'm here until December, so only 4 months. I'm out here on my own so it's tough at times. - I love tea but I'm also a coffee lover. Since being in Australia, I drink tea everyday and I only drink coffee from time to time. Back home, I drink coffee all the time. I like to switch it up but I do have a soft spot for tea with a little bit of cream and sometimes honey. Great post! The pictures are lovely.

I'm not much of a tea or coffee person - I just fake it with hot chocolate. Especially with a croissant dipped in it - mmmmm.

I adore this post, as I too love tea. I honestly can't remember the last time I went a day with out a cup. (I'm drinking one right now!) I absolutely love that quote by C.S Lewis it sums up how I often feel as well. I do hope you can have tea and scones one day.

Oh thats strange about your favicon, I meant to say to you the other day (saturday maybe) that I noticed the star, but its gone now! I wish I could help but I really dont know much about computers. xo

I love tea too! I love to drink it at home while I relax, I especially love black cinnamon (& a little vanilla) tea with a little bit of milk, delicious! But I love other teas too:)
But I have to say I really discovered it last year in Ireland, since in Spain it's not very common to drink it (although some ppl do it of course)... not so famous as in England, Ireland, US, & other countries.

It would be lovely to have a cup of tea together:)

xx darling

PS. today I started to see Alice in Wonderland! how curious you wrote about her too:) <3
