She walks in beauty

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies,
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meets in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which Heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress
Or softly lightens o'er her face,
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek and o'er that brow
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,—
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent.

-Lord Byron

Somehow I think the poem is fitting for the mood of these pictures
that my brother took of me on Sunday after church
(at the hotel where our services are held at the moment).
This hair braid headband was probably my best buy from London.
I've been wearing it so often in my posts, that I think it's the best 2 pounds I've spent!

I really do wish the weather here is more conducive for visits to parks and gardens.
I really miss all the lovely greenery in London, Paris and Scotland.
And I miss the fact that I could wander in the parks and gardens
and have cozy little picnics without dying of immense heat.

Here are some pretty pictures that bf took
of the prettiest garden I've ever seen in my entire lifetime,

the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris.
Truly, mere words can't describe it's beauty. I'll give anything to go back there again

Doesn't it look like a place where dreams and wishes could come true?

My love is building a building

My heart is so tired but it's full.
Full of you, in me.
And that is more than enough to keep me going

my love is building a building
around you, a frail slippery
house, a strong fragile house
(beginning at the singular beginning

of your smile) a skilful uncouth
prison, a precise clumsy
prison(building thatandthis into Thus,
Around the reckless magic of your mouth)

my love is building a magic, a discrete
tower of magic and(as i guess)

when Farmer Death(whom fairies hate)shall

crumble the mouth-flower fleet
He'll not my tower,
laborious, casual

where the surrounded smile
hangs

breathless

Sometimes I wish my shoes have magical powers
and at the tap my heels, I'll be transported to another place

Somewhere magical of course,
where I can't help but think of happy thoughts
that will make my heart feel so full inside,
where I can touch rays of warm sunshine
and weave them into my hair,
and collect rain dews in a hazy morn
and turn them into rainbows of every colour

Somewhere I can dance the day away in these shoes
till the leaves fall down and make a soft bed for me to slumber
where I'll never again be trapped in a web of never-ending routines
and silliness of adulthood that I get caught up with so many a time

But I won't give up,
I'll keep searching and searching
till I find the pair with magic in them

I have an entire wardrobe (slight exaggeration)
of black and white dresses, I'm not really sure how that happened at all!

Wore this tonight to my mom's school party, had lots to eat
and still feeling so full right now:)

I'm beyond happy, if all goes well,
I'm getting a new camera this weekend! Yippee!!

How's your weekend going to be like?

Flower Nymph

Wishing that I might be a flower nymph
With nary a burden nor care to bear
But to wear soft, crimson petals in my hair
as I travel along, the skies above so blue and fair...

"Heather the flower that weaves through her hair

Flower upon flower that grows beneath her step"

Baring My Soul

Photobucket

Wearing my favourite mng dress

I feel there is something magical and infinitely beautiful
about a woman's bare back.

I'm sure that is the reason why
it has been a subject of fascination and a recurring theme in
many paintings by artists around the world.

"Somehow my soul is bare for you to see,
the intricate lines of my back revealing my vulnerability to the world,

showing the most fragile side of me.
It conceals layer and layers of hidden secrets deep in my soul,
inviting you, beckoning you to discover
the very truth I have to offer.

I'm throwing away the facade and face I've been wearing,
Stripped to the very last core of me ,
My only question is being myself enough for you?"

Forest Party

Come to me, my beloved,

Abandon all your chores,

Let us pick some flowers from the field
,

Come and lay yourself here beside me,

Breathe in the sweet fragrance that envelopes the earth,

and feel the gentle wind whispering your name,

Come and collect all your flyaway thoughts in a jar,

Even those that have slipped out of your reach,

Close your mind to the noise around you,

and feel the green, green grass with your bare feet,

Come, weave a crown of flowers to rest on your head,

And let us be kings and queens in our private forest party,

with little white daisies as our only audience,

we will dance the day away

until dusk arrives

and night slowly calls in another day...

A poem by me ( I didn't set out to write this, it kind of wrote itself out)
