On the way back home, we made a little detour to Cameron Highlands in hopes of cooling ourselves down a little from the very hot spells we've been suffering from. And although it wasn't much colder there than how I remembered it, it was just the place to escape to for a day or two. One of the places I love visiting in Cameron is an old hotel called Ye Olde Smokehouse, I love everything about it. The english gardens, the creaking floors, the fireplace, the antique furnitures, everything is just so captivating. As a bonus, they also served the best scones I've ever tasted!Tonight I've been watching scenes from old Wong Kar Wai's movies like Chungking Express and Fallen Angels on Youtube. Faye Wong has always been a crush of mine, and it's great to be reminded of how good she was in Chungking Express. She will also forever be my favourite singer.
